Just realize that the limits of the EA82T engine are in the headgaskets. Put any reasonable amount of boost to the factory gaskets on an old EA82T and they'll blow worse than 96 Outbacks.

The new OE headgaskets are SOUND on these things. Just keep the engine temps happy (between 180 and 200) and cool the oil, and it will stay together. Make sure the heads are machined true...as that is also a KEY.
