It is a 2004 legacy gt, automatic with 160k on it.
Car was driving fine. I took a right turn lil faster than I normally do because I didn't realize it was the street I needed to get on.
At the very end of the turn before car straightened itself, it lost power and stalled. (I remember good because I lost power steering while turning).
It felt like I pulled the hand brake or the tranny got in park and stopped suddenly.
I immediately turned the ignition off but I think I saw temp oil flash before I did. All fluids are fine. Nothing leaking under the car. Axles are in place.
I can switch the gear lever to all gears. But the car will not fire up.
It cranks hard but wont start.
Legacy are quite in the inside so I am not sure if I am supposed to hear fuel pump priming but there is no sound coming from rear when I turn the ignition to ON.
I am hoping it is a failed fuel pump but the way car stopped makes me wonder if smtg happened to the tranny.
I also tried resetting ecu by pulling the neg terminal and didn't work.
Anyone experienced anything like this before. Suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks.
EDIT : Fixed. Problem was a blown fuse at the main fuse box in engine bay, SBF #5 30A
