It's not that hard to do the mechanical work of doing a swap. As for it looking pretty, well that comes down to how much time you want to put into that but from all the swaps I've done I can proudly say that they look very very nice and tidy.

As for the transmission. I'm running my stock 2.5RS transmission and it has 128345 miles on it, and these are all Zephyr miles as my friends like to say. This car has been autocrossed, rallycrossed, iceraced, hillclimbed and has a good 5000 or so track miles on it the majority of which are Group 4.

Ruster, go ahead and do the swap, you will not regret it at all. As I tell anyone else who is interested in doing a swap, when you buy the engine, make sure it comes with the complete harness of the car it came out of. I also would suggest going with the USDM WRX as parts are as close as your local subaru dealer and there are guys out there like me who have done tons of swaps that can answer questions or do swaps for the right amount of money.
