If it hasn't been tuned for/has a crap tune, then that's bad because the ECU is assuming that airflow is in the intake pre-turbo and it would need to be tuned for. So this leaves you the choice of having it properly tuned by a reputable shop or making changes and still having to take it for a proper tune.

So let's start here. What is the entire mod list for the car? Where was it tuned? Who did the install work?
In that case, I definitely won't install the BPV. I appreciate the knowledge! Thank you.
The car is mostly stock, except for the fmic, air filter, BOV, and the exhaust.
The fmic, air filter, and BOV were installed and dyno tuned at a good shop here in the NW called PREracing.
