When at the Chicago Museum of Art, we were touring the abstract wing, mand the conversation went something like this --

ME: "I could paint that in 5 minutes. Why does it deserve a place here?"

FRIEND: "Well, maybe, but you didnt think of it."

ME: "That's because if I was going to think of something to paint it would be something good."

Anyway, we finally got into one room, where we saw an aesthetically arranged formation of what appeared to be construction rubble surrounded by caution tape. Aha! The artist here was obviously trying to show how our urbanized world is fleeting and crumbling, and we must resist its attempts to crush the freedom of our souls. Then we looked up, noticed the damage to ceiling, and realized . . . it was actually just a pile of construction rubble. Totally seamless with the rest of the crap in there.

To be honest I did like the rubble pile better.
