I was able to de-pin the harness connectors with thin paper clips and thumb tacks Some of the connectors have locking tabs that are really hard to free the wires from.

Jewelers tools should work really well and make the job much easier. I must have spent half the time on my harness just re-bending the paper clips to make them work right.

The EG33s are solid motors just like the old EJ22Es. It is actually just an EJ22 with 2 more pistons. Very very reliable, the only thing you have to look out for is keeping the engine properly cooled. Do not skimp out on that part. The reliability of the SVX motor probably was not even put to its true potential because they ate 4EATs like fat kids and cake.
