But that didn't last long. People shelled out the money initially, but not long afterward, the F355 and 911 (993) came out and were much better than their predecessors... likely one notable reason why people weren't buying NSXs from that point forward. Seriously, the lifespan of the NSX in its one and only generation existed through four Ferrari generations (348, F355, 360 and F430) and three Porsche 911 generations (964, 993 and 996). So it enjoyed its fifteen minutes of fame, but the competing car that it was "better" than was replaced long before the NSX got a single noteworthy upgrade.
