That is only true in the case of the 16-bit ECU, which does not apply to any N/A car tuneable in RomRaider (all use the 32-bit ECU). You disable the CEL in your car, it is disabled completely as far as the ECU is concerned. The only issue is that if it is relative to some sensor input, for example, and that input is now off or out of range because the sensor was removed, the ECU may react to that input as if the data was accurate, which may have some response. The typical scenario with Subaru is the removal of the rear o2 which will cause you to run richer in closed loop.
