To shorten the pipes as much as possible, otherwise I may as well leave it how it is IMO.

I wanted to do that at one point too, I prefer to have it as a vent. I think most ways to convert that to an intake use poor piping routing in genneral. But if its all done starting with the up pipe I think it could be done in a better configuration.

Side note: Just got my seats back today from being recovered, so happy with how it turned out. I will post some pictures when I am at a computer next.
