2021 Ford Bronco Engine Tipped By Canadian Tire Store

One of the most highly anticipated new Ford models in a long time is the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco. We know that there will be a version of the truck that is based on the Ford Ranger. A Canadian tire website called CanadianTire.ca has caused a bit of a stir with Bronco fans when it was recently discovered that it had added the 2021 Bronco to its website as a drop-down list option for choosing wheels and tires.

The drop down calls out the “2021 Ford Truck Bronco, 4-140 with a 2.3L DOHC.” Whether or not Ford has given details early to the aftermarket so parts can be ready for the Bronco when it launches or if the website is adding a place holder for the vehicle we don’t know. We do expect that Ford is eyeing a two-vehicle strategy for the new 2021 Ford Bronco and expect a two-vehicle approach from the start. With that in mind, we would expect the Ranger-based vehicle to be the “baby” Bronco expected to be called the Bronco Scout likely making this a place holder that is incorrectly named.

We have seen a few Ford Bronco test mules, and while initially the test mule wearing the Ford Ranger bodywork was thought to be the 2021 Ford Bronco, the thought now is that is the so-called baby Bronco. The larger version that has been spied wearing modified Ford F-150 Raptor bodywork is thought to be the actual full-size Ford Bronco. The baby Bronco is expected to get the same 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that the Ford Ranger uses, matching the engine listed on CanadianTire.ca, but we doubt the name the website uses.
