FWIW, Subaru is one of the most conservative automakers out there. Practically all of the car "blogs" or tabloids were so damn sure that the new BRZ was going to get a boosted FA24 and look what we got instead  I can guarantee you that outside of a relatively small group of people within Subaru itself, there is no one out there who can claim that they know what the new WRX/STi will bring to the table, and certainly not random people at the dealership who typically aren't privy to that type of information until it's practically announced to the public already.
