Yup IPW is injector pulse width. To grossly over simplify some of the info from other threads regarding trying to idle with big injectors on E85 vs. pump 93, the reason a standalone may work better when trying to idle large injectors on pump 93 (not e85) is that the standalone gave better control over many fueling functions, one such parameter being IPW, and some standalone also had better injector drivers etc etc. (assuming you want to hit a 14.xx idle afr)

MRF582 - thanks for the info, wasn't aware that you could change the IPW in an open source tune on the stock ECU - thought that was an accessport only feature at the moment. However, like you pointed out it still might be moot due to the unstable responses at low pulse width.

I really wish there was a good 1300cc to 1600cc injector that I can run on the stock ecu that with a higher base pressure that is safe for all fuel types... oh well...
