That's a good strategy. The differentials in the GTPs grenade pretty quickly once the cars are in the low 13s to high 12s area. GM didn't leave enough space in the transmission for a beefy diff, and little stocker and the aftermarket LSDs that will fit in the spot just can't take much more than 300lb-ft.

The L67 is a marvel. If GM would put a more stout transmission on that engine, we'd have another Grand National class car on our hands.
