When you crank the engine does turn over...correct? If the clutch is having problems only try and start the car in neutral. You have two separate problems going on. Pull the front covers and check your timing marks. To check spark spend the $3 on an adjustable spark tester, it lets you adjust the size of space the spark has to jump. To simulate the conditions of how spark reacts in the combustion chamber under 200psi you need make the spark jump a 3/4 to 1 inch gap. You could get great spark from a screw driver on the manifold all day but that does not mean it will fire under compression. It isn't a bad quick test but you should get the tester. Please elaborate on your problem.
