I've been a loyal subscriber since the second issue, and loved every issue. The magazine used to be full of positive, well written articles. Recently however, it's been laced with hints of elitism and pessimism.

I'm extremely disappointed with these "digitalized" issues. If I recall correctly, I paid for a bi-monthly (as in, 6 issues per year) paper magazine that I can sit down and read. I am not receiving what I paid for, both in frequency and content.

"Who cares, he's only one person. We have plenty of other subscribers."

Plenty of other subscribers who paid for a bi-monthly printed magazine, and instead are receiving a CD with a folder of videos. I've discussed this issue with a few other Subiesport subscribers, and I can assure you that I'm not alone.

That said, I will not be resubscribing. Good luck in your future endeavors.
Agreed, we should buy tickets from the PGH airport to punch Ryan in the face.

This is not a thread to discuss the issue delays, state of the magazine business or anything else unrelated to the specific content in Issue 26.

The digital edition will be available to digital subscribers at Subiesport.com on Monday, August 10.

As always I was very happy that there will be a new Subiesport Magazine coming out...

So Ryan, I don't like the structure, not all of the content is even new. Part of the DVD even had info on your Legacy GT, I mean c'mon is that a joke? That was in an issue a long time ago.

I read the pamphlet, it is no longer worth being considered a magazine, that being said I understand that a pamphlet needs "published", but at 15- pages couldn't an intern do your job. Ryan this makes me very sad, I have either gone to the local bookstore (B&N or Borders) every single month or subscribed to your magazine over the years. So I have every issue from issue one, once I received it, I was angry that I knew nothing about it, then sad.

I loved the video of PIA's STI Forester swap, and most of the content on the DVD. That being said I had to wait almost two weeks to have the time to watch it. I could've just read the magazine at work on breaks, and at my leisure otherwise.

The DVD is the equivalent of a 150+ page magazine. Which is not financially feasible these days. Even "back when" we couldn't get Subiesport beyond 100 pages (and even that was subsidized out of my pocket) Hell, both Nissan Sport (no relation) and MC2 the Mini Magazines are around 60 pages these days. They both where previously at 100+ and I wouldn't be surprised if every enthusiast magazine was running on fumes at this point.

Traditional magazines are dying. The format is a walking zombie. I don't like it any more than you do, but we have to face reality that postage, ink and paper have increased significantly since we published issue #1. Postage alone has gone up at least 10 times (bulk is different than first class, which has only increased a couple times) -- and we haven't raised rates. At the same time, in the past year, the ad market has crashed. We're not talking skid landing, more along the lines of straight into a cliff at Mach 5 with still no sign of any real recovery. The traditional American model calls for Ads to cover the majority of the production costs. Subscription income covers postage. That's it. The model was broken to begin with. Now it's unsustainable.

Video is significantly more expensive to produce, content wise, than print. However, the physical production of the discs is lower. There is a potential for equilibrium here. That is if everyone doesn't go ape **** over the mere thought of something new.

I ask that you please look at the content of the DVD before posting your "thoughts" on it. I know, it's tough, we all like to pile on, but I would like to maintain a discussion... not a yelling match. I'd like to buck the trend and not have the vocal minority's voices be the only ones that people hear.

FYI: My dream is that the ad market will rebound, we can keep the DVD and increase the pagecount of the printed copy.
I unlike some people have looked at the content of the DVD before posting. I did pay for a magazine, a magazine that I have loved since ISSUE 1. I am very disappointed with Subiesport and you Ryan, because honestly I thought I was the only one who felt the way I did about this, but now as someone who has every issue since number 1 I feel sad that you, instead of addressing peoples legitimate concerns you instead ask stupid questions that only show your elitist attitude. I really wish I didn't live that far away from Washington so I could talk to you face to face... I am not a fighter but I would make an exception in this case, simply because of the way you treat your customers you are a complete jerk to these people who spend there hard earned money on Subiesport, which, correct me if I am wrong provides you with income. I have run several businesses, with clients that spend billions of dollars on print advertising. If you are concerned about the ad market dropping off why not do something about, go to companies that are not related to our cars, I don't think that anyone here would say hell no I don't want that Verizon add for 15 more pages of content. Have you even considered going that route. I mean you probably have exhausted everything because you are so much better than everyone else.

At this point Subaru's DRIVE Performance magazine is better than Subiesport.

I however will ride out my Subscription hopefully things get better, both with the print and not using old content to fill up a DVD.
