Default Exciting composite materials

Don't know if this belongs in this section or not... it is news, though, and could be exciting for enthusiasts in great ways!

http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_repo.../metalfoam.jsp

In short:
An aerospace engineer named Afsaneh Rabiei created a composite metal "Foam" that's as light as aluminum, and stronger than steel... this means lighter parts that don't compromise safety or structural integrity!!!!

Other obvious uses stated in the video include prosthetics, and building materials...

The real exciting aspect, is that it's relatively cost effective! Way more so than other options, anyways.

(Admins feel free to move this if it belongs somewhere else, but "news" makes sense to me. )
