According to the dealer they have never seen this before, but the number of 2018 Outbacks in their service department makes me think otherwise! As you test drive, test everything, if anything is even remotely off then don't buy that car. I was told "that is normal" by service manager when I asked about the odd things after my test drive, now its in the shop for a week or more getting those exact things fixed. Best of luck in your purchase, hoping you don't have the same trouble.
