For a simply getting that "race" feel from the video I have always run a solid mounted go-pro on a lip I attached to my FMIC (you can use the bumper beam if need be). The low mounting point really changes the perception of speed, and when your doing something in 2nd gear that really helps IMO. Similar to how your rear camera looks in speed over the window mount.

This view has zero benefit as a teaching tool, unlike a overview style mounting location that allows y oh to see/understand the course.
