I would do exactly what Andres has been doing, whatever it is. Apparently it has been working ok for him so you would have to ask him. I don't know what would work exactly but he's got a good feel for his car and his times show what works and how it works. So however he had used his clutch during his 4500rpm launch is the way I would continue to do it. Seems like his tranny/clutch is holding out fine just the way he is doing it.
I think you should do whatever you could to preserve your transmission and clutch. If dropping the clutch is better than letting it slip for longevity, than that's what I think you should do. I launch my car with Nitrous from a dead stop (which is a big No-No) so you don't want to ask me what I would do.
Since I'm not familiar with manuals (I'm a diehard autotranny nut...*gasp*), I would be the wrong person to ask.
Any comments Andres?
