It just occurred to me that Honda blew a great opportunity awhile back with the CRZ. It could've been a fanboy's wet dream that was also politically safe: a spiritual successor to the CRX, small / lightweight, modern tech, hybrid..... So what did they do? No manual! No power! No fun for you! Heck I might've gotten one of those back in the day instead, if they got that right. I'm not a honda guy, but I do like them mostly.

The CR-Z had a manual.
Honda's old IMS hybrid system (a 14hp assist motor) was just worthless. For comparison, the modern Honda 2-motor hybrid system uses a 181hp (or 151hp) traction motor. So a 2022 Insight is significantly faster and more efficient than the CR-Z was.
