Theere have been many evo vs. STi threads. Use the search at the top.

My opinion:

+pros: exterior looks, steering, seats, handling, brakes
-cons: cheap/poor instruments, turbo lag (or little power/torque below 3500rpm), harsh suspension for everday street driving, no 6 spd?

+pros: Exterior looks, torque and hp, 6 spd, everyday driver friendly(not harsh over bumps rough stuff), seats, handling, DCCD, awesome instrument cluster etc..

For me the Sti was a better choice. However it wasn't a completely easy decision. I had a RS before (1st Subie) and loved everything about it. (torque, handling, reliability etc.. So I was definately holding the Sti to high expectations before I got it. It easily blew me away. I driven some very fast cars (TT Porsche, Ferrari's etc..) and while the STi and EVO is close to supercar performance, the STI (probably EVO too) is way easier to drive fast, and in my book a car that is easier to drive is easier to drive fast
The STi just ended up being a better "fit" for me. I drive the car everyday and needed something that could do it all. For the first time, I found a car that did that.

Good Luck,
