I'm now looking at the Yokohama Geolandar, which seems to be pretty common on the lifted WRX's. If I go with the 225-60-17 I'm concerned I'm going to rubbing issues & I'm not super excited about cutting / trimming. Has anyone used this size on stock rims with a 2" lift?

My other option is 215-60-17. I see people are putting this on the Method 502 8" rim. It seems narrow for an 8" rim though! Also, I'm concerned it may look goofy with the stock wheels 55mm offset. If I go this route I'm thinking of using 10mm wheel spacers. Any thoughts on this combo? I'd to switch out the stock rims for the Methods but I was hoping to avoid dropping the $$$ for the wheels right now.

Any insight and/or personal experience with these options is appreciated!
Nothing specific, but a lot of the Forester guys have gone through this, likely with those wheels too. Check out in the "Lifted/Off Road" section, you might find some answers there. I lifted 2" on the Forester with a 15" rim but I bought the wheels with custom offset and had to do some modifying of my wheel well to make them not rub with the KO2s.
