If they're using the FA24 it's certainly quite possible that it's been tested in a bunch of different mules that we've seen rolling around. Who knows what motor they put in them. I'm more interested in the rest of the car since I already know I'll be disappointed by the motor.

I think the more curious thing is that we haven't seen ANY hints to the design rolling around. We saw the 2015 WRX mules rolling around a year before they came out, and there was at least chatter on it. This has been complete radio silence minus these "rumor" articles that pop up every few months.

My guess is that it's not anywhere near done yet, who's to say they won't let the model die for a year or two before bringing it back - a la the Golf R?
