I just installed an ERZ uppipe/downpipe in my 02 WRX last week. We had a bit of trouble getting it out after it was all un-bolted. The funniest part of all is that we ended up removing BOTH motor mounts, jacking up the engine, but still removed the stock uppipe through the top WITH the turbo still in place
don't ask. After doing this install, I honestly cannot believe that people were able to remove the stock uppipe without jacking the engine (unless you removed the turbo that is). There is absolutely no wiggle room without doing it. Everything bolted up fine, except for a couple uppipe studs that were too long, but it was no biggie as we just cut them down to size. It took us about 8 hours total to do the uppipe and downpipe, as we ran into small problems along the way with other things...
