I'm not sure where his is mounted but I removed the factory battery tray, drilled a giant hole to recess the pump motor down into the fenderwell and bolted it up there.
I'm using the model with the integrated reservoir.
I don't think the pump was having an issue after changing some other components around but I also added a little cooler in the return line.
My hoses are rather short this way as everything stays on the drivers side of the car. I use an AN adapter on the pressure feed with a hydraulic face seal type o-ring (the factory fitting is some oddball metric tube nut that I couldn't find anywhere).
The return, after having fitment issues with an AN adapter I ended up cutting off the stock return pipe and double crimping on some Parker 801 hydraulic hose for a return.
