FYI, cracked pickups go back to the begining of the EJ engines in the early 90's. The oldest car I've personally seen a broken pickup in was a 1997 with over 200K on the clock.
That reminds me. I want to check mine out when I pull the spun bearing motor out of my 04 -_- (220,000+ miles)
