Here’s another wrench to throw in, the vast majority of nickel use in vehicles comes from… Russia. So everything from catalytic converters to components in EV have a real potential to become scarce, very expensive, or both. The widespread implications of Russia / Ukraine can stretch far and deep in terms of resources use in a ton of common components.
