So really there is no real savings in time or labor with either of them then. I just figured that since they are the same body and such that Subaru would have made as much interchangeable as possible to cut down on labor, I guess thats wrong.

If I do all of the labor my self then I have to figure in the cost of a beater to get me to and from while I am doing the swap. How much time can I expect the swap to take if I have all of the wiring laid out? I am pretty good as a shadetree mechanic but have never done any major wiring or anything close to a swap. I think I could put in 8-10 hours a week if I am lucky.


At this point it maybe more effective to just take the 5k down on a used LGT in a year or so. Although having a swapped BE would be kinda nice for the rarity factor.
