Default $30,995 just seems to keep floating around

I keep hearing different people saying their dealers have told them $30,995. I heard it again today. (I know dealers know squat, but its coming from different locations) Man wouldnt that just be awesome. I keep thinking that this price is probably right on target for a couple of different reasons.

1. SOA originally understated the true horse power of the STI along with the size of the engine. I think this thru Mitsubishi off a little cause they came in at 271 hp.

2. I think SOA is doing the same thing with the price. Saying its mid to low 30's to throw mitsubishi off. And to excite the audience when they announce the true price.

3. Edited thanks to the comments of another poster. They did the same thing to the WRX. Everyone expected it to be more than what it was.

Remember they shocked everyone when they announced to the world it would be a 2.5 liter 300 hp STI. I think they like to shock us.

I think they are going to do us right boys and girls
