Gas pumps need electricity also...

Plus, you can create your own electricity at home with solar panels and battery storage. Back-up generator without the need for diesel/propane/nat-gas. I haven't installed an oil rig in the backyard yet.

I hear you. It's the same as people who don't fill up their gas tank until the light turns on because they are oblivious to its status. However, charging at home becomes second nature. Park, plug in, all good to go.
