You'd have too much info to display in a well laid out manner that won't leave you hunting for info.

Headunit and secondary items (such as what the MFD shows) ought to be separate screens. HUD should only display immediately critical information, just like in a fighter. You should have speed, rpm, gear, cruise control and other automated driving feature current status, and indicator if a warning lamp is lit (like the yellow 'I' in the combination meter.

So, for the WRX (I'll use STI as it has more necessary info): Speed, RPM, lamp lit indicator, cruise control/adaptive settings (show via icon, but normally just the CC icon and set speed just like in the combination meter), dccd current mode, SI drive current mode, gear, compass heading.

Anything else is not critical and can be looked at when you have a moment when you can glance away without becoming a road hazard.
