2013 WRX had spun rod bearing a couple months ago with 82k miles. I have been using Rotella T6 *almost* always, and always changed at about 7500 miles (I know, I know, in hindsight this was wayyy too long but I went with what the book said). Lesson learned.

Engine never really lost oil between changes, but something happened recently and now I am out a turbo and short block.

If they made a 2020 STI Hatchback, I'd buy it right now... but they don't. So I'm rebuilding with a FP Blue Turbo and IAG Stage II TUFF block. This was my first car I ever bought new and honestly there just isn't anything on the market that makes we want a new one right now, so fixing it up it is!
