Hey, I'm hoping it's not cheapened out either. But judging by what VW has already done to two of their models, this is my guess.

More high strength steel and aluminum are not cheap. My guess is that the price is going up. And I doubt they will cheapify the interior because unlike the Jetta, the interior is what sells the GTI. No one shopping for performance per dollar buys them. Maybe that will change with the new one.
