That's a good perspective on the narrower might be faster.

I'm in a weird situation, my class will allow a wider rim, but budgets dictate I cant change rims this season.

I've always been under the impression that for AutoX wider rubber is always better. I'm running 225s right now (RS3 and Z214).

I'll definitely consider sticking with the narrower rubber, saving a few $ and running a more optimized tire and tim package
