Oh, you were absolutely right about the judicial clerk thing. It's just that "clerk" has joined the legal lexicon over "intern," even though that's what they technically are with those that aren't full time.
You should take the LSAT just to see how you do. Also, if you get a good LSAT score, it'll help you get clerk/legal aide positions. I took it, and it's kind of fun to tell people you did.
