I bought this WRX new in 2001 when it was first released in the US. Modifications started almost immediately as whatever power levels the car had at the time became boring. I eventually began drag racing seriously and starting setting goals for myself and my car. In the 2009 season, I decided I wanted to run a 10 second pass with a full street setup. Full interior, full glass and street tires. With the help of COBB Tuning Surgeline, I succeeded in this goal, but that wasn't enough by a long shot. 9s were next, and with 9s came a whole new set of rules and that's where the car sits now. For the 2010 season, we basically built the car from the ground up for the sole purpose of running 9s.
After months of fabrication and trial and error, I'm in the 9s. Stay tuned for next season to see what's coming up.
