The DWS is a great tire, I just put them on my '08 WRX, 235x45x17 on Oz Ultraleggera 17x8. Provided you aren't driving in a blizzard, pushing 2 foot drifts or expecting to go 60 MPH across the mountains in a full on snow storm you should be fine.
That said, the sidewall is fairly soft on this tire, so if you're looking for something to push very hard I think you'll be disappointed with them in the summer time. If you just want to drive in a spirited fashion, then this is the tire for you.

The PSS is the current king of the hill for sure for grip and tire life. I have OE PS2s on the 1M and will be replacing them with PSS once I finish burning them off.
