My WRX arrives in about 2 weeks. I've come to terms with the fact that there will probably be snow on the road after I pick it up and the stock dunlops are a bad story for that kind of driving.

I also don't want to have to re-wrap the stock wheels and tires... so I want to get some beater wheels.

How are these? They'll be in matte black.

Looking for any other suggestions as I am totally oblivious when it comes to winter wheels, but I'm looking for something with some better coverage so the snow doesn't stick inside the wheels. Appreciate opinions.

Also, I guess I will add that I'm trying to go small wheel, fat tire, for the reason stated above. Hopefully I'm not going down the incorrect path.
Smaller wheel, fatter tire is a good approach for winter, but as they said above, that wheel isnt for your car. Bolt circle is wrong, rest of the spec could be wrong too.

Some folks love 'steelies', they work fine. I personally hate them. After using several sets, Ive changed to using stock subaru wheels from other models instead. They look a thousand times better too and will do your wrx more justice in the feel department.

Not sure what will/wont fit the new wrx, but if its anything like the previous, most will fit and are cheap to buy, often with snows mounted already. Check the classifieds.

Every so often tirerack, in early season, will have a cheap 15" wheels that would even clear 4 pots. They get bought out pretty quick.
