i dont know if the thermostats are actually "broken" i get this problem and i change the thermostat first and its solves the problem for a few thousand miles. the system is properly bled i have a coolant exchange tool that fills the system and bleeds the air. i work with a friend of mine that is an experienced mechanic on each replace, i highly doubt that is the problem. also this problem happened at 109k i replaced the thermostat and had no issues at all until 111k, which is where im at currently. im starting to think its something with the motor (headgasket, cracked head.) something of that sort but i need more proof before i go with that. im not losing coolant at all really though, so if my head gasket was bad, can it cause some of the problems im having without leaking/burning coolant? in the next few days if everything works out i might be bringing the car to efi logics, im sure they will be able to fix it.
