Yes and no. I have seen stock valves leak at 17PSI on a TD04
But in general, they can be trusted to at least 20PSI. Most will hold up to around 22PSI or so. If you are running 22PSI or higher, you should seriously consider upgrading. If you dont want noise, go to something like the APS recirc, or even better, the HKS Race valve. However that HKS is about 500 bucks. But its ROCK solid.
If you are running a big setup, you likely wouldnt hear a VTA valve anyway. I had a 20G with an EWG on my FXT for a while, and you couldnt even hear the bov when I shifted.
