I read that with the gas tank in the rear, as well as the batteries for the hybrid system, that there's likely not enough room on this compact chassis to offer awd plus hybrid.

I personally just don't like the styling of the RL, so even at a higher spec, this Mavrick has a lot of appeal. My only concern is fitting adults in the back. I'd like to have the flexibility to use this as a shuttle rig for mountain biking and if it's difficult to fit some of my bigger buddies in the back, it might not work...
