I give them credit for the previous gen, especially with the hatch and CTR they made it more stylish (some people thought too much so). The newest gen seems more conservative for sure but this is the market they are targeting. Just like Subaru. Boring sells. |
8th gen outperformed 7th gen until the recession
9th gen never achieved best sales of 8th gen
10th gen smashed 9th gen
And all of this is before accounting for advertising, incentives, market share, and public sentiment.
