Just looking for the best winter/rain/snow tire that has good traction with 370whp

Toyo Proxes 4 is an all season tire if you have 370 WHP For wet and dry traction a simple UHP summer tire would help more such as Toyo Proxes T1R. Or even better the Toyo Proxes R1R. but they cost $$$$ and are only SUMMER TREAD DRY AND WET CONDITIONS ONLY. If you are in a location where you see snow a winter or snow tire would work for that time of year. But if its just rain you need help with the T1R or R1R would be the best.

Do not try the Kumho MX's. They work all right for street driving in rain, but I autocrossed on them once (way too much rain for R comps) and was not impressed at all.

i had Eagle GS-D3's. unbelievable in the rain, on my WRX. That was about 4 years ago. I bet there are newer better tires now, but I don't know what they are.

Best rain tire = Goodyear Eagle GS-D3

Winter? How? Like just cold or snow and ice too? I'm not really sure what Oregon gets being a coastal state despite being far north.

If you need snow/ice traction, you'll be looking at dedicated winter tires. If you desire good dry road traction too, you'll be looking at performance oriented winter tires. The absolute grip on snow and ice is less then completely dedicated versions, but they'll be a good step up from all-seasons and a BIG step up from any performance tire you can buy. Dry road grip will be around all-season level to mild performance tire level.

Some performance oriented winter tires would be: Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25, Pirelli Sottozero (210 through 270 depending on size), Toyo Garret KX, Dunlop Wintersport 3D, Goodyear UltraGrip GW3, Michelin Pilot Alpine PA3, and others. These types of tires are built like a performance tire, offering a stiffer carcass and better handling but with a tread design that's geared for snow/ice. You get a good mix of properties that make the tires pretty versatile.

I have used Michelin Pilot Alpins as my snow tire on my '06 WRX. I have been quite pleased with their wet grip. So you might try those. I am not making anywhere near 370 whp though. With that kind of power I would think you could overpower just about any tire doing a sharp turn in the rain.

ya.. doesn't matter how much power a car has, any car can flip out with whatever amount of power

i've got goodyears responsedge on mine.. haven't driven much in the rain coz there's not a lot of rain recently.. but i expect these tires to keep me safe for daily driving

Winter/rain/snow, traction, 370 whp. There is a point when the track is closed down due to weather and there is a reason. You will not get stick-like-glue performance in the wet. If you read the responses to your post you will see the common thread that it appears as though you are trying to defy physics and possibly reality itself. This is not a judgement, just an observation. Assuming that your suspension is already fully sorted out (only because stock suspension is lacking for stock HP), and you have an adequate wheel width to support the tires you use in the summer at PIR, SIR, Mission or whichever track you frequent, then you have only to decide which compromises (you can't have your cake and eat it too) you are going to make. If you want to resist the laws of physics this could be painful and expensive. I live in Portland, I travel over the pass in winter, I drive to Seattle in the pouring rain and I got a set of tires for the winter that are a compromise. I got some ohtsu zexius xi 427's in 225-45-17 and did not think I would enjoy them. They handle standing water surprisingly well and they brake nicely for what they are, turn-in is responsive and they are SAFE in the wet. Haven't been in the snow yet but I can tell you that if you find a tire that sticks like glue in the dry and hot, the cold and wet, the snow and ice, never letting you down, try not to be upset when you wake to find you were dreaming.
