Post Subaru Bugkiller 2.5RS ???

Happilly passed 2k miles on my 2001 Impreza but one thing I have noticed...this thing collects splattered bugs quicker than any car I have ever driven.

The splat on the headlights and foglights, on the front of the hood and on the winshield. I expect some splatter, but this is really ridiculouse.

Would a bra's or hood deflector help out? If not...what is an easy method of bug corpse removal? I'm kinda hesitant to start scrubbing at that nice shinny finish

thanks in advance.

Just be glad you don't live in luvbug region.

I hate driving down to florida in the summer, it is insane.

Luckily I am slightly north of the lovebug region, but still..... scraping those suckers out of the scoop and fog light covers is a pain.

You can get these cloth mesh covers that strap around the front of your car for bug season. Alot of small stores sell those in florida and they are only a few bucks. Stick one on for bug season... let the bugs collect, when the wall of bugs has reached an insane amount, toss it and get a new one.

You aren't kidden. I am so irritated by all the bug splatter. They also collect rocks. I purchased my car in late January and I just got my first winshield ding, right in my line of site, last night. Argh. As soon as I wash my car, bam, bug juice everywhere.

Man, you're not kidding. I just drove home from Mammoth yesterday and when I got home the front of my car was black, it was disgusting.

Yeah, I have question about the Bra. I kinda want to get one for road trips to protect the paint. I would only have it on when on the highway (mainly because I think it's f-ing ugly)

Is it going to damage my paint at all?

my car is the GREAT SLAYER of bugs that is...and the GREAT ROCK MAGNET! two titles I could definitely do without! Man, livin around the bay as if cost of livin and gas isn't enough, gotta contend with the incidental crap.

I bought the factory full front mask from the dealer, and I am glad I did. Dead bugs on that thing are a heck of a lot easier to get off than the paint.

As far as damaging your paint, I have had only one problem - I noticed the top edge of the front bumper is getting little scatches in it, but I don't know if it is from the mask or something else - I didn't really look carefully. I can barely see them, so I don't care.

I leave it on any time it is not raining.

If you leave it on in the rain and then let it dry out afterwards it will screw up your paint something awful.
