Default AC not blowing cold air

I tried searching but couldn't find exact symtoms. So the other day, AC was just working fine. It's been over 100 degrees for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday, I didn't drive the car at all. Then today, the ac kicks on but no cold air. One thing I noticed is the hissing sound under the dash continues to hiss. Normally, I only hear the hissing sound in the beginning then fades away. What should I do to start troubleshooting? I just had a 60K maint. done by subaru and this happens?

AC is a complicated system.

There isn't much you can do by yourself, without the tools and knowledge. I suggest taking back to Subaru and let them look at it. It's either low on refrigerant or you have a leak somewhere.

It sounds as if your evaporator is on the fritz....My '08 WRX is in the shop as we speak getting a new evaporator installed under warranty. I had the same issue as you...AC was working fine until one day it stopped blowing cold air and a hissing sound came out from under the dashboard on the passenger side....a quick pressure test at the dealer revealed that there is a leak in the evaporator....The whole dashboard needs to be removed in order to access this part....

Good luck

I'm having a similar issue. I tried replacing the O rings hopefully for a quick fix to get by in the summer. I also did a fresh recharge about 5 days ago. It was working fine until this morning. Could it be the same evap issue?
