Default Power Steering Pump Rebuild???

I have an 02 Impreza Outback sport, and again I'm getting the dreaded power steering pump squeal. I had the same issue last year and had a hell of a time getting a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement database has the wrong part # in their system and every time I ordered one I would get the wrong part. Ended up getting a used pump from a Subaru salvage yard. So I have the original pump that I took off last year and don't want to go through the same run around, and don't want to pay $400 from the dealership. Does anyone know of a company that will rebuild the pump if I send it to them???

Rock Auto has refurbed units for $130... you'll be hard pressed to beat that.

Rock Auto shipped wrong pump last Dec. when I ordered from them, 02-03 pump is unique and it's wrong in all the parts databases.

Try PSkits.com They have rebuild kits for pumps.

I rebuilt mine a couple months ago. Not too difficult.

will a rebuild kit do anything to fix the issue if it's not leaking?
