Sparco Pedal Installation-2012 WRX
Does anyone know how to take the factory pedals off a 2012 WRX? I need to take them off so I can install my new Carbon Fiber Sparco's. There are these weird rubber deals that almost look like they cover up the bolts. Any ideas?

Clutch and brake pedals are rubber slip-ons. You can pull them up and over and then slide them off the metal part of the pedals. Gas pedal is similar but is crimped on with metal tabs. Uncrimp the tabs and the pedal will come right off. Gas pedal is nice because it's easy to remove the entire assembly with (I think) 2 nuts. Get under there (a mirror helps a lot) and have a look, it's pretty easy to figure out.

Dale2011WRX,
I have all three pedal covers off. However, you said that the gas pedal assembly comes off. How does it come off? There does not appear to be any bolts holding the gas pedal assembly on...would you mind explaining/providing pictures? Thanks |

There is one electrical connection and two bolts holding the gas pedal assembly onto the car. It is very easy to remove. Unfortunately I do not have any photos.

Stole this off the internets. Like Ben said, just two bolts in the firewall (you can see the holes for them) and a wire harness to unclip.
