Post STi info from my dealer, can anyone confirm?

Ok, I talked to my dealer yesterday about the STi and he said they are sending the salesmen(and women to be politically correct) to a special school around the end of May first of June. He said until they complete the training and pass it they are not allowed to drive them or sell them. Therefore the STi would not be here till the first of June at the earlist I was debating on getting one and that is really far away considering I just put my car up for sale so that I can get one of these bad mofos
I am in Indianapolis and we only have 2 Sub dealers, I will go tomorrow to ask the other dealer but I have heard they want 5k+ over sticker so I wont be buying one there.
Let me know

I heard it was track day so dealers could get acquainted with the car on paper, in a classroom. Then a track session where they could drive the car to feel its full potential. It doesn't make sense that they wouldn't be allowed to sell the cars if they didn't pass. But June sounds right for a release date.

Well, I'll put it to you this way, they said the same thing when the WRX came out. I got my car 2 weeks before they sent me to the class.

There is an STi ride and drive in South Beach, Miami sometime in May. I'm not sure if this is a regional or national Subaru event.

The event my dealership is attending is in on May20th, so it looks like I won't be waiting as long as you.

I'll be in Florida on May21st so I'm trying to pull some strings

The folks at the dealer that drew up my order said they thought the STi is targeted for June, but they said it's very common for Subaru to ship them a few weeks early, so I shouldn't be surprised to see it in May.

They were very honest that they were swapping rumors with their internet savvy customers so I guess no one outside of corporate really knows for sure.
