Question Any estimates on how much a drum to disc swap would cost ?

I 'm looking into doing a drum to disc conversion on my 02 TS, I can get the parts but was wondering how much (roughly) it would cost to have a professional do it. I don't feel comfortable effing with my brakes. I need someone with a license I can sue if shat happens

It's pretty strait forward.

You should do it yourself, just get a budy to help you out with the bleeding.

You are looking at 5 plus hours shop time and you will need an alignment. It is time consuming to take apart the interior to run the new ebrake cable.
Your car is relatively new so that should make the job a little easier.
Getting the parts for a good price is a challenge although I saw a set for sale on this board for a pretty good price. Make sure you get all the ebrake pieces - they really add up.

I kinda figured it would be roughly 6 hours of shop time. STill trying to see if its worth it if I don't take the car to the track. I see porterfield shoe pads coming instead LOL.

What parts do you need to do this conversion? I know you'll need a pair of loaded calipers, pair of discs, disc brake knuckles with hubs, brake hoses... But what else do you need?

I got charged 5 hours. Well worth it to have it done by a licenced mechanic, for insurance reasons.

Be sure to get the ebrake cable with this. Best is to get as much of the rear brake/hub/knuckle/ebrake assembly as you can off a wreck in one go, not piecemeal.

It's worth it if you put in ss lines and upgraded pads - better choice of pads in disc than drum.
