Post Swaybars and cracked subframes

I've got a question for you guys. On my A4, there were issues when Neuspeed came out with a 22mm rear bar. Replacing the stock 12mm bar(or 16mm w/ the sport pkg) resulted in a few cracked rear subframes. Neuspeed then came out with some very beefy braces that protected the subframe mounting points, and there have been no problems since.

Have there been any issues for the Imprezza with regards to breaking things when a thick swaybar is used?

Not an issue at all - the way the swaybars are mounted are completely different.

Those Neuspeed brackets are slick, but don't even think about installing them unless you have a set of offset box wrenches handy .

I havent herd of any but there are several heavy duty end links and mounts for the bar that are a good idea to get anyway as they are suposed to make for a more predictible car. The stock endlinks are plastic and can lead to twitchy behavior at the limit. BTW this is what i have herd and not from experience.

MRT told me you have to get the heavy duty sway bar mounts if you go with the 24mm dia. sway bar. With the 22mm they said you are OK with stock mounts.
